GCI Finland has acquired the business of Communications Agency Aidema (29.01.2010)

Communications agency GCI Finland Oy has acquired the whole business of communications agency Aidema Oy.  Along with the transaction the company will nearly double its personnel. GCI Finland is part of Finland’s leading marketing services brand SEK.

Announcing its new name during spring, the new agency combines experience and knowledge from communications supporting sales and marketing to communications planning, implementation and marketing-PR.

Irene Kantor (MA) has been appointed Managing Director of GCI Finland. She will start in her new position in the beginning of February as the current Managing Director Jaana Vuori moves on to become Chief of Corporate Communications at Microsoft Finland.

Irene Kantor has worked previously as Managing Director and the owner of communications consultancy Aidema, which she founded in 2006. Kantor has long and diverse experience working as a strategic yet practical communications professional.

“The ever-changing operational environment requires continuous renewing as well as a thorough understanding of the target groups in communications. Setting goals and acknowledging the value of comprehensive communications will strengthen our ability to develop our clients’ core businesses “, Kantor points out.
